February 2nd - Groundhog Day is a traditional North American holiday celebrated on February 2nd each year. Its origins trace back to ancient European weather lore, where a sacred bear or badger was said to predict the weather and the arrival of spring. When German immigrants settled in Pennsylvania, they brought this tradition with them but substituted the groundhog as the weather predictor. Also, one of the greatest movies ever!!

With both B.S. and B.A. degrees from UAB, I’ve earned Ambassador Travel qualifications and actively serve on several boards, including the Wallace State Future Foundation, Cullman Regional Foundation Board, and Cullman Ballet Society. I’m also a member of the Cullman Regional Service Guild and NAIFA, holding RICP and LUTCF designations.
